Tupac Shakur Had A Final Death Wish And Yes It Was Wack

Following the rapper's death on September 7, 1996, by rival gangs, his body was cremated and his ashes were mixed with marijuana and smoked supposedly by his former group The Outlawz.

Now, although Tupac never out-rightly asked to be smoked, fellow Outlawz member E.D.I. Mean listened to the rapper’s lyrics again and came up with the ideaIn a 2011 interview with VladTV, the group opened up about this saying:

‘Yeah, it's definitely true,’ said member Young Noble to VladTV. ‘I think it was the night of, we had a little memorial for him, with his mom, his family and s***.

‘We hit the beach, do a lot of the s*** he liked on the beach. Some weed, some chicken wings, he loved orange soda and all that kind of s***. Pac loved that kind of s***, so we were giving him our own farewell that night.
‘I forgot which one of us came up with it, like we need to go and do that, but we twisted up some of that great granddaddy California Kush and mixed the big homie with it.’
According to E.D.I. Mean:

‘I came up with that s***, if you listen to Black Jesus he says, 'last wishes, n***** smoke my ashes,' so that was a request that he had,’ he said.

‘Now whether how serious he was about it, we took the s*** serious.’
In an exclusive interview with Thisis50 in 2014, E.D.I. also talked about the ashes truly being Tupac's. In his words:

‘At the time, when Pac passed, we all got together and smoked what we thought were his ashes but years later we found out that those weren’t really his ashes,’ E.D.I. Mean said in the interview.
‘At the time we felt like we was and we would have did that for him because he would have done that for us.’
